Resources >> How School Radio helps to deliver the National Curriculum

This document outlines how School Radio can help you to deliver the National Curriculum in England by meeting several statutory aims and recommended guidelines across multiple core and foundation subjects relating to key stages 1, 2 and 3.

These have been broken down by subject with direct reference to the relevant sections of the new National Curriculum that will be fully employed across all subjects in England by the end of the 2014/15 academic year.

The aim of this document is to demonstrate how a School Radio system can help your school to meet the relevant criteria within the National Curriculum in a creative, engaging and fun way that will benefit the whole school community.

“Pupils should learn to justify ideas with reasons; ask questions to check understanding; develop vocabulary and build knowledge; negotiate; evaluate and build on the ideas of others; and select the appropriate register for effective communication”The National Curriculum – 6.2 Spoken Language (p11)
